(May 2nd edit) Just a couple PSAs: Please take your time and make sure you include all the info you want to send me in one note, sending me multiple notes only clogs my inbox even more than it already is and really slows down my reply time. Commissions are only re-opening in a week there is seriously no rush right now. Right now is also not the best time to ask for sewing advice. Most the sewing questions I'm asked require some time to answer and right now I just don't have it, so I'll probably be overlooking sewing questions for a while unless they're very simple and quick to answer. And finally, if you can only remember one thing from this edit I want it to be that the only Toothless plush available from me right now is the doll I posted yesterday, all my other Toothless versions are discontinued.
That means my standard Toothless (small, medium and giant) and my chibi Toothless. The Toothless doll is the only one I'll remake, though right now it is very unlikely that I'll be accepting commissions for it because I'm currently working on restocking my Etsy with a few of them.
(my package containing the fabric for my last current commissions made it to Canada yesterday...only to be taken hostage by customs.
Looking at a Monday delivery maybe at this rate)
As the title says, I will be re-opening my commissions on May 7th, at 6PM EST. countdown here as always
. Also remember to read over my Commission info
as well though please take note of the changes stated bellow.
This time I will only be taking 20 commissions instead of the usual 40
. Wait time for my commissions has been longer than usual since Christmas and I just don't feel comfortable having people on a waiting list for 6+ months so I'm cutting down to 20 commissions for the time being. I may go back to 40 eventually, but that's later. I also have several other projects on the go and lots planned for the summer so even though I'm cutting down on the number of slots we're probably still looking at a 3-4 months wait for the last slots on the list. I may also be slightly pickier about the commissions I take.
I've always strictly done first come first served, but truth is I would really like to have a little more decision power in what I make. I will still mostly go by first come first serve, there will not be a lot of these handpicked projects on the commission list but if I see a project or two that I really REALLY want to make I'll take it.
Commissions re-opening and closing will still be a flash unfortunately. I usually get 50-60 requests the first minute I re-open, and since I'll only be taking 20 commissions these will fill up even faster. I will not leave my commissions open any longer than needed, even though I might be handpicking a project or two.
I know I have a couple notes/emails left to answer, if you've sent me something and it still shows as unread in your inbox I just haven't gotten to it yet, if it shows as read but I haven't actually replied then I had it open when my computer blue screened yesterday and lost it so resend it. I will be doing my best to keep up with quotes but please remember that I get A LOT of quote requests and the more straight to the point your request is the better. There's a form on my commission info page
that makes sure you send me all the info I need to give you a quote.
Also somewhat important to note is that I'll be away starting the 14th of May all the way through the 19th. I will not have internet access and of course will not be able to work on commissions. I'm re-opening before my trip because I need work to fill the couple days between re-opening and my trip, assuming my fabric order gets here before the 7th. xP
I think that's the rundown, I don't think I've forgotten anything, as always if there's anything just ask
