Do you take pattern commissions?
I'm trying to make my own plush and I can't find a pattern anywhere and making my own is proving VERY difficult ;;

I want to ask - would you ever consider making little soft/floppy beanies? Kind of like beanie babies?

I've already made tons of plushies that would fit the beanie criteria, just have a quick looks through my gallery

I wanted to say that if I ever win the lottery, I would be keeping you busy to commission the biggest Pinkie Pie ever. My little one saw the picture of the life size one and gasped so loudly I swear there was no air left in the room. These are amazing. I wish I was able to drops loads and loads of money on plushies. The other one I'd want, would be a life size Baymax. (without his armor) Out of pure curiosity, would you ever be able to do that?

aww thanks!
Although I wouldn't make a Baymax, sorry. My no-Disney-characters rule applies no matter what.

It's all through years and years of experience, everyone's gotta start somewhere. I started sewing 10 years ago, I've been doing this professionally for 5 and I've been full time at it for 3. =p

I must say your works are admirable, your talent amazes me! ^^
I wish to ask a few questions for when commissions are open:
..
1. Goes the Pokemon Greninja count as an overly complicated character?
2. Is it possible for you to deliver to Israel? It's always been a problem for me.
..
Thank you for your time! ^w^

I could make a Greninja. He's not simple but he's also not impossible

I can ship worldwide, but shipping is at your own risk. If you're worried about your package I'd recommend adding tracking, which starts at $60 then varies depending on the size and weight of the package.

That's good news, I was a bit worried.
Even though it looks like you're totally capable.
..
And I assumed shipping worldwide wouldn't be an easy task.
May I ask how shipping works in this case? I'd pay as much as it takes.

shipping depends on the size of the plush. The larger it is the most expensive it is to ship, but please keep in mind I can't ship plushies over about 20" worldwide.
By standard I ship airmail, which usually takes 3-5 weeks to arrive but doesn't include tracking. A tracking upgrade is available but considerably bumps up the costs.

Ah, I see.
..
Well in that case I'll keep track of when you're open to commissions.
I'll consider all that you've told me, thanks for the information!

Let me start by saying that I'm a huge fan of your work!

I have some questions regarding your commissions:
1. Do you accept commissions of characters you've already done?
2. What constitutes "anatomically correct", and does this apply to simple fictional creatures (i.e. simple pokemon)?
3. What factors go into which commissions make the list and which don't? What can someone do to increase their chances of getting a slot?
4. At what point is a plush too big to ship to the continental U.S., if money isn't an issue? I'm familiar with US maximums for UPS and USPS, but I have no idea what maximums are in Canada. I'm sorry if you're not the right person to ask, I realize you aren't a postal worker :P

Thank you for your time!

I can do remakes or different versions of characters I've made before no problem.
Anatomically correct refers to genitalia, basically I won't make a sex doll.
Commissions are first come first serve and are usually filled within the first minute of re-opening, I usually take 20 slots and receive about 60 requests. Unless I got less requests, there currently isn't a way to guarantee a slot.
Biggest I can go is the biggest that'll fit in my car or through my doorway. I still need to transport the package to the post office or UPS depot, I mean I could rent a truck but we'd be looking at extra costs for something like this.

Thank you very much!

Edit: For some reason, I thought "Anatomically Correct" might refer to scaling actual body proportions. I'm glad that was figured out.

I have a question, say I want a large plush and say I live in Australia, would you be willing to make the large plush and not fill, leave the filling for me to do? just wonder if not I'm sure I can work something else out for a friend that live closer to get for me.

Thanks

This isn't something I plan on offering, sorry. I find doing this would present a lot more headaches than it would be worth, since giant plushies require internal structure and sometimes hand sewing that I wouldn't be able to include with a non-stuffed plush.

ah fair enough, I just thought I would ask. So if I plan to get one, I'll just have to get a friend that lives in Canada to get it for me. Cool thanks for the info

What factors are in play when the price varies

Large plushies

16 inches to 30 inches tall or long: $350-$800

Basically base price is 350$ what do you charge extra for etc.. etc..

:iconmagnastorm:

Materials: A 16" plush takes a lot less fabric and stuffing than a 30" plush
complexity: this would be a lot simpler to make than this
time: How much time it takes me to complete the plush (very linked with complexity)
special features: A plush with a full wire or plastic armature would be priced differently than a simple stuffing-only plush
amount of machine embroidery: self-explanatory

These are the main factors that go into a plush's price

I can make loosely stuffedarmatured , and jointed plushies. Armatured and jointed would be more due to the extra work they require

Good to know. Thank you. :3

I was more thinking of something with wire framing inside the arms or legs that allows it to bend into a bunch of neat actiony poses. I'm assuming that would be "armatured"? I honestly have no idea how plushes are made so I'm not 100% certain of anything. ^^;

i'm going to note you a few questions i have about pricing. i have an idea ready when your commissions would open up, but i should like to know a base price first about it. (it might take a bit before i can commission you, though... i only get to commission someone around winter 2015, when the holidays are over and such.)
