Twilight Sparkle by MagnaStorm Twilight Sparkle by MagnaStorm
I wanted to make the large Twilight commission, but I didn't have enough fabric for it. D: Then the fabric I ordered finally came in late this afternoon, which included 2 meter of lavender. Everything was fine, but the lavender's quality is abysmal. it's rough, flat, the fuzz sticks together. It's disgusting. Will be e-mailing fabric.com about that. Good thing I saw that my local fabric store has some in stock, I'll be picking some up this weekend.

Anyways, I think it's about time I made a Twilight. I think she's the last of the mane 6 that I hadn't made yet? Too lazy to check my gallery lol

She stands at 14 inches tall not including her horn, is made out of minky, has machine embroidered eyes and cutie marks, and hand embroidered mouth.

She is up for auction! [link] This is the only way to get a non-chibi pony plush form me aside from commissioning me. I only open my commissions once a month and slots fill up within seconds, so this is your chance to get a pony without the stress of trying to get a slot! Her starting bid is also much lower than my pony commission starting price.

I just want you to know that a Chinese company is using your pattern to produce knockoffs or just outright scam people out of their money.

I love this. This looks EXACTLY like her.
Why can't Hasbro make such plushies?

[link]

Just look at the Twilight plushie from the store.
It looks NOTHINg like Twilight, especially the main.

Great job, I wish Hasbro could make plushies this good

Order from minkydelight.com I just got some lavender fabric from there its uber soft, fluffy, easy to sew, and doesn't release those little fuzzballs that much CB Very nice quality

I normally order from them, but they were out of stock of most the colors I needed so I had to look elsewhere. ): I agree, their fabric is great!

I embroider the eyes using an embroidery machine. Mine is a Baby Lock Ellure, but there are plenty different machines out there. To be able to embroider a drawing, you have to convert it to a file format the embroidery machine can read. There are a few different softwares for this but I use Stitch Era Universal, it's free and simpler than a lot of other software I've tried. I hope this helps!

first a huge thanks. did this mean the machine is doing this automatisch After it get this file ? that would be more awesome than i even imagined but i guess its something thats get into the price if the machine.

yup, the machine does the design on its own once it has the file. It might sound easy, but always watching the machine fixing problems here and there takes some work!

I'm not sure. I make the chibis on impulse, but I will probably be making a few every now and then for the next few months. I just really don't exactly know when.

Me as I saw this: :typerhappy:

Me when I realized that this will probably sell at a thousand dollars: :cries:

But still you made her beautifully also, was she made of the sticky lavander fabric or was part of the fabric okay and you used that?

ahah I would have a heart attack if she sold for that much xD

I used my previous stock of minky for her, which is nice and soft like minky should be. I'm definitely not using the awful quality stuff for any plush. I'm hoping I can return it actually :|

I figured (just wanted to check is all), and trust me the internet is full of pony lovers it will happen. If she doesn't sell that high though you can expect me to possibly bid on her (it all depends on my parents though).

It's nice to see that you finally were able to make her. And it stinks to hear about what happened with fabric.com. Thanks for the warning. I don't want to risk buying from them with such bad service.

I don't completely dislike fabric.com, even with all the problems I've had. They're cheaper than minkydelight, shipping is faster, they have a wide selection of fabric. As long that nothing goes wrong with the order and you don't order lavender it's fine lol. The only thing that didn't impress me was their packing. I got my fabric i a box twice too big (could have saved even more on shipping! D:< )that wasn't taped well, and the fabric was just thrown in a huge plastic bag. It was still folded though. Ooooor I've just been spoiled with minkydelight and their adorable and neat packing lol

I try to stick to websites that just specialize in minky myself. And conveniently, there are a few minky stores located near me. Even minkydelight is pretty fast sometimes. Sometimes their priority mail is cheaper than parcel post. But I know what you mean about packaging. I order from fabric depot and my fabric was placed in a plastic bag inside a mail envelope. They did not even bother to close the envelope so the bag was poking out. >.< But the fabric was still in good condition. So, I've got lots of places to choose from, fabric.com just doesn't seem like the site for me.

ahah yesss Derpy. I'm still waiting on the light yellow minky though, it went out of stock as I was ordering it or something and now it's back ordered. I'm hoping it won't take too long to be re-stocked.

Just figured I'd give you an update lol

I've had the same problem with lavender minky. I ordered 2 yards once and the quality was crap. It had a weird nap and just didn't feel nice. Wasn't from fabric.com. I wonder if the lavender has the tendency to come out like that.

Lovely Twilight tho!

weird. This is the first time I've ever received minky like this, so I can't tell if it's a lavender only thing. I was pretty glad I still had enough good lavender minky to make this Twilight!
