Well, this guy was looooooooong overdue. I had been working on him on and off since new year's, I'm glad to see him finally done.
So he's a huuuge change from my first Slowbro. He's chubbier, I fixed the size of the yellow part of his belly, I hand embroidered the lines on it, his eyes are stuffed, re-did the feet pattern and his tail is completely different.
I placed two pieces of cardboard in each feet, one sheet with the grain running the length of the foot and the other running across the foot to make them flat. This makes the cardboard rock solid, but because cardboard has soft edges it won't damage the fabric. Sadly, even with the super flat feet he can't stand because of his heavy tail. He stood like a champ until I added the tail.
Slowbro measures about 14" tall and weighs 4 pounds. He took an entire 4 pound bag of stuffing! @_@ I have made plushies almost twice his size that didn't require that much! He's completely made out of minky and has hand embroidered details.
Overall I like this version better, but I don't think I'd want to make another one anytime soon @__@
I love his tail.
