Metabee by MagnaStorm Metabee by MagnaStorm
holy crap finally done D:

I started working on Metabee over x-mas break and only finished him last Friday. most challenging plushy I've ever had to make so far.

he stands at about 30 inches tall including the cannon on his head. made out of fleece, details painted on.

OK, first of all, this is one of the best plush's I've ever seen, handmade or factory made. Second, how long exactly did it take you to make it? Thirdly, assuming you were ever willing to make a new one for sale, how much would this be for? Again, this is so incredible, I can tell you put a lot of effort into it.

I was really focusing on making him look like a robot, not just a plush of a robot. I guess that went well! xD

Do painted details come of easily if they are loved :-?

painted details should be really resistant as long that the plushy doesn't get washed ^_^

Grate, hey if it is so resistant and looks really good why doesn't more people use that to do the detail instead of delicate iron on?

well, I just happen to have the supplies and I took painting classes. So this comes really naturally to me, but it probably doesn't work for everyone. plus it's really hard to get the eyes symmetrical, and some people prefer to have simple anime style eyes , which is really hard to achieve with paint. So really, making iron-ons is just easier and simpler, and for some people it's the only way to go. I think it's also a preference thing ^^

Truer words have never been said like YutakaYumi her plushes are amazing but she uses iron ons

I don't think that using iron-ons is really that bad, it's one way of doing things amongst other ^_^ yes, they are more fragile, but I'm more of a plush collector so my plushies don't get played with that much so I'm not scared of ruining the iron ons.

I collect two in fact my room is dedicated to it it but I only collect official plushes if I'm going to spend the extra money on the custom I want it to hold out like at this website [link] she embroiders the eyes and it looks great
