finally a picture that's not a convention hall picture!

I'm an avid cosplayer, but there aren't a whole lot of photographers to work with around here ):  But the awesome guys from Mcarthy Photographic and Mark A Ramsay Photography set up a green screen booth at Hal-Con and we got a few shots! Since I won't have any plushies to upload until next Monday, I figured I'd post these in the meantime.

Both costumes were made by me a year apart. My Sister of battle(made first) took about 3 weeks of solid 7am-10pm work while the Iron Snake took closer to 5 weeks of the same thing. This was my boyfriend's first cosplay ever, super proud that he was able to wear such an intense costume for longer than me! We stayed in them for about 6 hours before I had to get changed. Both costumes won 3 place artisan (the second highest division in the contest), mine in 2013 and his this year.

I was hoping the contest stage photographer would catch us both in our big display pose but oh well, still shows lots of details!
